OPAL (“we,” “us”) operates the opalai.systems platform. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

• Account information: email address, name, and password when you create an account
• Usage data: which features you use, reports you generate, and frameworks you select
• Technical data: browser type, device information, and IP address

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• To provide and improve the OPAL platform
• To communicate with you about your account and product updates
• To analyze usage patterns and improve our service
• To enforce our terms and protect our platform

DATA RETENTION

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Usage and telemetry data is retained for analytics and product improvement purposes.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

OPAL uses third-party services including Appwrite (authentication), Anthropic (AI analysis), Financial Modeling Prep (financial data), Stripe (payments), and BrandFetch (company logos and brand colours). These services have their own privacy policies.

PAYMENTS

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout page: OPAL never receives, sees, or stores your card number. What we send Stripe is your email address, an internal account identifier, and which plan or credit pack you chose. Stripe tells us that a payment succeeded and, for a subscription, when it renews or ends — nothing more.

Company logos and brand colours shown on report covers are requested by your browser directly from BrandFetch, using the company domain you entered. If that request fails, the report falls back to the company’s initials.

DATA SECURITY

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
